MAYORALTY COMMENT FOLLOW-UP
My comment last week that John Tory was the best mayor during my time in Toronto prompted a number of queries as to who I think was the worst; an easy question to answer. It was the odious and clownish Rob Ford, who was in a class by himself when it came to being completely unsuited for the job. Excepting Ford, and considering their ineffective administrations, David Miller was the worst, followed closely by Barbra Hall.
WHY I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR JUSTIN TRUEAU
Over the last few weeks I’ve received a number of complaints about my criticisms of Justin Trudeau. The complaints are usually accompanied by a question as to why I have such a dislike for him. It’s not so much that I dislike him as it is that I have absolutely no respect for him. My three reasons follow.
First, if Justin’s last name was anything other than “Trudeau” he’d never have been heard of and would still be flitting from part-time job to part-time job while living off his grandfather’s trust fund. Second, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and has been handed everything on a silver platter ever since, never having to actually earn anything in his entire life. Third, he’s an unethical, hypocrite whose arrogance is exceeded only by his narcissism.
STILL A JERK
By offering a tampon to fellow golfer, Justin Thomas, last weekend during the Genesis Open at the Riviera Golf Club in Los Angeles (a gesture that went over like the proverbial lead balloon), Tiger Woods reaffirmed his reputation as a consummate jerk. How anyone could think this was funny is beyond belief. During his career Tiger has performed many monumental feats, and this was another one: demeaning himself in the eyes of millions of people.
